ABOUT MAJA
Most people view gardening as a hobby and art as a luxury. I see them as the same: a vital, living commitment to the planet. As a Creative Artist and Master Gardener, I connect aesthetic beauty with ecological health.
Whether I am creating a watercolor drawing, stitching fabric, or tending plants in my local community garden, my goal is to demonstrate that sustainable living is the highest form of art.
Personal Artwork
My artworks explore visual stories about universally shared archetypes and journeys to spiritual and mythological realms, and observe human nature, especially our relationship to the natural world around us—both the seen and the unseen.
I am influenced by the art of ancient cultures, deeply rooted folklore, the natural cycles of nature, and my own insatiable curiosity that drives me to explore the world and beyond. I love the process of creating “slow art”—being a part of an experimental process and impulses that involve color, texture, light, and shadow.
When people view my artwork, I want them to be inspired to create their own stories and embark on their own brave adventures.
What I Bring to the Soil (and the Studio)
Mindful Gardening Practices.
I transform outdoor spaces into vibrant, healthy, and beautiful ecosystems. From native pollinator habitats to composting systems, I volunteer with gardening communities that support sustainability and build community.
Sustainable Living Advocacy.
True beauty shouldn't cost the earth. I share practical, hands-on wisdom for reducing your footprint, fostering biodiversity, and living in alignment with nature’s rhythms.
